Agraw is a GIS Research Analyst, currently stationed at the WRI Africa regional office. His primary role entails providing technical expertise, analysis, and administrative support to the WRI Africa Cities Program, with a particular focus on the scaling of transit mapping in African cities to facilitate improved transport planning.

Before joining WRI, Agraw worked as a research associate in a laboratory at the University of Seoul, where he gained valuable experience in the field of urban planning. He also served as an assistant lecturer at the Addis Ababa Science and Technology University, where he honed his skills in GIS and urban design. Throughout his career, Agraw has contributed to several GIS, urban planning, and design projects in Ethiopia.

Agraw holds a Master's of Science in Urban Planning and Design from the University of Seoul in Korea, as well as a Bachelor's of Science in Urban and Regional Planning from Addis Ababa University in Ethiopia. In 2020, he was selected as a fellow at the Asian Young Activist Researcher Fellowship program.
